5 Favorite Photo Apps

I am a firm believer that editing is what completes a photo: 50% is the shot and the other 50% is how you edit it. What I look for in my personal aesthetic is a light and airy vibe with pops of color. I basically like to edit my photos with a high exposure, lowered contrast and focus heavily on playing with the saturation and luminance of colors. If you don’t know what this means then play around with editing apps! There are plenty of apps with fun filters - but if you’re like me, you can create your own presets (or purchase) on Lightroom.

Depending on what my Instagram grid looks like, sometimes I like to add fun edits to my photos. Since I started shooting more content on my phone vs. my DSLR, I like editing on my phone more because of the convenience and I got pretty skilled in teaching myself on how to use the apps from the Apple Store. 😊

FAVORITE PHOTO APPS:

Lightroom Mobile: My favorite presets are by Josie Bullard, Jo & Kemp, and Aspyn Ovard. My very first preset package was purchased from Aspyn Ovard. After getting the hang and studying how to play with edits and colors, I was able to develop and make my own! ✨

Tezza: I love using Tezza for quick edits for my Instagram Stories but especially for videos! Instagram has stepped it up with it’s filters through their own stories but Tezza presets for video add a cohesive flare and have so many fun edits to make your videos look vintage.

KUNI Cam: I have been loving the retro and vintage look to a photo. This app can add fun light and dust effects to your photos!

Afterlight: If I want to throw on some funky light effects on a photo or a polaroid frame, this is my favorite app to use! This was the very first photo app I heavily used when Instagram was first introduced.

Retouch: The best app to use if there are busy items in your background. I normally use this to clean up the wall or ground behind me if there is so much going on.
